Question in email
I came to know that interview can be given in non-english language, then
how my answer can be conveyed to board members? can anyone translate my
answer?
 Answer
  • You can speak in Hindi and there will be no need for translators, they understand Hindi by themselves.
  • They'll provide for translator, if you decide to give interview in non-english, non-Hindi language (Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya etc) but then interviewers may loose interest because of the time lost in third party translation.
  • And it sends a negative impression that you're appearing for All India services (IAS, IPS) and yet you don't have the enthusiasm to learn atleast Hindi, if not English.

So, Better give Interview either in Hindi or in English.
